| Most builders, architects, designers
have heard of Insulating Concrete
Form (ICF) technology and they
often think that all ICF is the
same. That is, for highend construction
only.
That's where Phoenix has broken
the mold - developing a system
which is now affordable for all
housing and light commercial/industrial
market.
The Secret's
in the Tie! |
Phoenix's
unique tie technology makes
Phoenix ICF nearly
25% less expensive than its
competitors!
The Phoenix tie is made
from recycled materials.
Strong, lightweight and
good for the environment
|
Phoenix ICF was designed as the
strongest, most versatile and easiest
to use in the field.
The standard principles of straight,
level and plumb of course still
apply as in other methods of
construction, but instead of
hammering pieces of wood together,
workers place the expanded polystyrene
forms atop one another, creating
a wall that when filled with
concrete is much more substantial
than any wood wall.
 Forms
weigh only about 5 pounds
and the ease of placement
is aided by the lap design
of the form joint.
|
Phoenix ICF provides real value
to the builder and the buyer:
Lower Workers Comp
Phoenix is lightweight, around
5 pounds per form. This, combined
with our system of construction
- stacking forms, inserting rebar
and erecting bracing (to steady
the wall during the concrete pour)
all contribute to a situation of
greatly reduced potential for work
site injuries, and therefore lower
workers comp claims.
Lower Labor Cost
The ease of the Phoenix system
opens many possibilities for alleviating
both the cost of highly skilled
labor – which is not needed
for this type of construction – and
the shortage of such labor.
As workers don’t have
to carry around heavy dimensional
lumber or heavy basement forms
for poured walls, younger workers,
female workers, older workers
and the less skilled can enter
this workforce easily.

No Design Limitations
Whatever can be built by traditional
frame method, can be built with
Phoenix ICF. There are virtually
no design limitations..
